Does Skin Needling hurt?

You may feel mild discomfort, but we apply a medical-grade numbing cream beforehand to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Most clients describe the sensation as a light scratch or vibration.

Will I bleed?

Mild pinpoint bleeding is expected — it's a sign the treatment is working at the right depth. This is minimal and stops almost immediately. It’s part of the collagen-stimulating process.

What happens during the appointment?

  1. We cleanse and prep your skin

  2. We apply a pre-peel (if suitable) to enhance your results

  3. The skin needling pen is used across targeted areas, section by section

  4. A post-treatment peel or serum is applied for healing and glow

  5. You’ll receive a full aftercare plan before you leave

Treatment takes approximately 30–60 minutes depending on the areas treated.

What kind of device do you use?

We use 1Need, a professional-grade clinical needling device that is TGA approved. The device delivers precise depth control (0.25mm to 2.5mm) across different zones of the face and body. This ensures maximum results with minimal discomfort — far more advanced than at-home rollers or cosmetic pens. This is not a basic dermal pen — it’s a high-performance device designed for real results.

Will you customise the treatment to my skin?

Always. We adjust the depth, speed, serums, and technique depending on:

  • Your skin thickness

  • Your skin goals

  • Any conditions like melasma, rosacea or acne scarring

  • Whether it’s your first session or part of a longer journey

Can I combine this with other treatments?

Absolutely. LED treatment is commonly added to this treatment to both calm and enhance healing. Long-term, we commonly alternate Skin Needling treatments with other treaments we offer including RF Needling, the Herbal B Peel or Cosmelan peel depending on your skin goals. Your therapist will guide you.
